Busy, Busy, Busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been busy with the Applique Guild!  We picked fabric at the last meeting.  

I have made the kits and about 4 are still waiting for pick up.  

That's done.

I missed another family reunion this year.  

Our next one is 2017.  I will be ready. 

I got this picture from my aunt about 3 years ago 

and I have wanted to make it into an embroidery.

Here is my drawing!!

What do you think?

I have to stay on task in order to have the quilt 

done by Summer 2017.

I don't know what blocks I want to build around it, 

but I know I want everyone to sign it!

Any suggestions?

New Pattern!!!!

I have released a new pattern

"She Works Joyfully..."

This is an embroidery piece, drawn in the style of a sampler.  

It has wool and cotton applique and I used tea dyed muslin and homespun fabrics.

The words at the bottom read, 

"She Works Joyfully with Her Hands"

It is available in my ETSY shop.

The pattern is $16.00

ANNOUNCEMENT AND INVITATION

HELLO ALL....

I have been uber busy with quilt shows and new designs....I will post later...

But I wanted to share the news....

I wanted to let everyone know that I have decided to start an APPLIQUE GUILD.  The guild is open to everyone: Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced.  Please join us to share your knowledge, tips, tricks and your LOVE OF APPLIQUE.  Our first meeting will be held on Monday, June 15 @ 10am or 6pm.  The first meeting will be held at my shop.  We will decide at the first meeting what time and day of the week is best for the meetings depending on the interest.   Future meetings can be held at a members home if preferred.  The plan is for us to work on quilts at the meetings.  So bring that quilt that you never finished, patterns you want to do and ideas for our group.

Please email me to let me know which meeting you will be attending so I can plan accordingly.
